Our late night debating led to our rising proportionately late and enjoying a relaxed brunch on the deck. This was another beautiful day, blue skies, delightful temperatures and a gentle breeze. At the end of brunch more friends from Atlanta arrived and we made our way to the winery to taste the 2009 wines and nibble on flat breads and deserts. If you ever join us at Montaluce or make your own way there; the flat bread with egg, home cured ham and truffle oil is incredible and the mason jar of custard topped with "real" caramel is worth every calorie (and there are many of them). A community plug: the restaurant is well worth the drive from Atlanta! http://www.montaluce.com/dining_at_montaluce.html
Our relaxed late afternoon tinkering with the Alfa Romeo and just "hanging out" turned into a dash when we discovered that neither of the churches in Dahlonega and Dawsonville had afternoon mass scheduled for the day and we would have to drive to Cumming but we made it into the narthex of the Good Shepherd parish exactly on time for Mass.
