Monday Musings

Monday is not always the most exciting day of the week but that is not necessarily a bad thing. With a busy week ahead a day focused on catching up with e-mails and messages and day to day administration is a blessing. The major event of the day is the addition of Father Paul Burke to our board at our annual meeting. Father Burke has already committed tremendously to the college and is a wonderful addition to the HSP team.

As we reviewed the admissions numbers at the board meeting the consensus was that although our new student numbers will almost certainly finish ahead of last year we had sorted through many applications that could not be served or were not a good fit for our school. Before we started to face admissions pressures at certain grades we placed an emphasis on referrals from our existing families; there is no doubt that those referrals offered the highest likelihood of a good fit therefore we will reemphasise that approach going forward.
